Make a Microphone Flag!

I found this great video on how to make a Microphone Flag. A Mic Flag is a little box for your microphone that helps identify you in your videos if you do on the spot reporting. You don't have to be a broadcaster to use a Mic Flag. You can use one if you do a video blog and interview or talk to people. It is a good way to identify the blog on camera and if anyone embeds the video, it shows where it came from.

Plus it can give you a 'reporter' look and since many TV stations and networks use them, viewers have come to associate them with news or any type of reporting. But mostly it is good to identify your company, web or video source such as a blog. You may even want to use one as a prop if you need to shoot a scene with a reporter in it, or fake a newscast for a movie. So have fun making them and create a great identifier for your videos!

If you don't want to do the work, markertek.com sells them blank for about $22
